I met Mike Michalowicz (pronounced mi-'kal-ō-wits) at the Gathering of Titans at MIT years ago. I have to tell you he is one of the coolest guys I know. Yeah, he’s CEO of Provendus Group, a firm that ignites growth in companies. He’s written four best-selling books (Profit First, Surge, The Pumpkin Plan, and The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur). He hosts two podcasts: the Profit First Podcast and Grow My Accounting Practice. I can hardly keep up with him as he travels around the world all the time to speak.
But what I really love about this guy is the way he looks at success and purpose. He believes that success comes with a better understanding of ourselves, not with a better plan. And that we should use our profits to live out what we define as our purpose in life in the biggest way possible. That really resonates with me.
